Tasted good, but nothing like the toppings I chose (peanut butter glaze, Oreo pieces, and hot fudge drizzle). The base donut tastes incredibly close to a funnel cake, and that flavor overwhelms all else. Ate the donut fresh on recommendation, but I'd like to try it cooled down to see if the various flavors mingle better, as well as if the texture is closer to an actual cake donut. Promptly greeted and left happy. Ordered a half dozen and of course if you don’t know all the flavors you want, they will help. Sunrise (lemon glaze with raspberry drizzle) is dynamite. They have a nice selection of stickers we ended up finding a few that we had to bring home. This place checks the right boxes. Customers just want to A.) to feel welcomed ✔️ B.) to get what they pay for ✔️

My daughter and I are here in OBX on vacation and we heard about how good Duck Donuts is so we had to try. And even more awesome, we had a coupon for BOGO. My daughter had an oreo donut and I had a chocolate caramel with nuts. I didn't realize they were made to order so we were pleasantly surprised. They were so good. Hot, melted in your mouth. Cool donut place! Staff was very friendly. Would definitely visit again.
