I have very little doubt that Duck Doughnuts is the next business to fail at The Pinnacle. I placed an online order at 7:10 for 7:45 pickup, it wasn't ready until 8:22. There was only one person working and she was possibly the least professional person I've ever encountered in a retail environment. She didn't even look up to acknowledge or greet customers as they came in, she moved at a glacial pace and acted like she would rather be anywhere in the world but there, at that particular time. This day was my first visit to Ducks. Moderate crowd of patrons. The reviews and recommendations are 100% spot on. I grew up in Krispy Kreme land. Duck Donuts put them to shame. But most importantly, the determination of the staff. Thea' was working solo today. She greeted every person that entered, remembered their order exactly. While preparing the orders, managed to engage each customer while their order was being prepared. Thus the additional wait was forgotten and everyone thanked her as they departed. Fun and unique donut shop! There was only one person working that day and he managed to keep up with how busy it was. Great donuts!
