Was the first time going to the their shop and by far, the best donuts I've had in VA since I moved down six years ago. Heather was an absolute Gem 😊, she was very pleasant to meet and to find how knowledgeable she was in the industry. I got a half dozen and chose one of these delights she recommended. Home Run! I will be visiting again, Great job Heather, you are a wonderful baker 🙂
I stopped by for cider donut holes THREE times. Each time they hadn't made the batter. On the fourth stop, they had them but they reheated some in the microwave. Things happen, but to reheat donuts instead of fresh ones?
Eh. I was excited because the reviews seemed good. The dough of the donut tasted alright, but she put the icing and toppings on it when it was *way* too hot and it was just a melted, gooey mess that I had to let cool down for 10 minutes to even take a bite. I was also the only one in there, so I don't understand why she didn't just take the time to make it nice.
It’s very unfortunate that this happens more than it should here. The lights are off and the door is locked. I’ve personally stopped by several times to find this establishment closed when the hours state that they are open.
