Built in 1904 through a $10,000 grant from Andrew Carnegie, this historic landmark served as the city’s public library for over 60 years. It was saved from demolition in the 1970s and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. It is one of only three remaining Carnegie libraries in Georgia preserved in its original form.
