Never been in a rush so idk about other reviews but they have my script ready to go and are nice and pleasant every time. Same with flu shots. The store itself has too many locked products but that is a nyc issue.

I live close by so go here often out of convenience, but always experience poor service. I often want to just quickly pick up toiletries, but it takes forever for someone to come and open up locked shelves after pressing the customer service button, even when the store is pretty much empty. I’d be waiting for 15 minutes, and the customer service call is broadcasted to the entire store over and over again, but nobody cares. This is a store operated with the absolute bare minimum effort.

I don’t know why this Duane Reade has only one other review and it’s one star, because it’s my favorite one in midtown. The pharmacists are kind, helpful and will remember you after a couple visits. The pharmacy is open till 8–an hour later than the others nearby. They’ve never seemed annoyed when I arrived at 7:59 either. All of the other staff I’ve encountered at the registers have been delightful.

I waited over 2 hours for my prescription. The pills weren’t in stock so they sent the technician to another store to get them. They did not ask us what we wanted to do (options) we waited way too long for 3 pills. Then the tech came back with Starbucks. Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.
