Absolutely terrible experience. Even one star feels way too generous. This is now the SECOND time I’ve had a pricing problem at this store. The first time, the promotion was clearly posted showing the price of the second item, but when I checked out, they told me the promotion didn’t exist. I literally had to walk an employee over to the shelf and show them their OWN SIGN. Eventually, a manager came over and admitted that THEY had made a mistake. And today was even more ridiculous. Edit: returned recently and the staff smiled and were polite, and my prescriptions were ready. It was a noticeably more pleasant experience. As I was walking in a guy taking out the garbage and I laughed trying to get out of each other's way, and the clerk at the pharmacy counter was alert and attentive. Speaking for the retail location not the pharmacy: Have to concur with the other recent reviewers.
This store has some of the most incompetent staff I've ever encountered. Prescriptions aren't ready on time, the staff are slow, lazy and barely alive. I can't believe they manage to remain in business. Duane Reade should do the world a favor and just shutter the place, or fire everyone who works there and start over again.
