This Duane Reade will not fill a prescription unless you call many times or show up in person. Today I had a prescription sent at 10:30 am. By 12:40 pm I had no update and tried to call as I am aware they close at 1:30 for lunch. I was on hold for 35 minutes, and reached the “front of the line” about 20 mins in. As soon as I hit the front of the line, they started taking me on and off hold where I could hear the phone ringing and then it would go back to playing the hold music. How does a pharmacy have someone wait on hold for 1.5+ hours multiple days in a row?? Not to mention that if you don’t go at exactly the right time you’re guaranteed to wait in line for more than an hour. This has to be the worst run pharmacy in Brooklyn.
I HAVE BEEN ON HOLD FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF. DOES NO ONE HERE DO THEIR JOBS??????? I NEED MY MEDICATION I COULD LITERALLY DIE.
This Duane Reade pharmacy operates in a parallel universe where time is optional and prescriptions are theoretical. For starters, there is always a 30–60 minute wait. Picture a line that reaches the escalators of the basement where it's located. There's no phone service, everyone is sweating because it's 100 degrees, and you're getting pushed by people trying to actually shop.
