I’ve visited Drybar locations in several states while traveling and have consistently had great experiences, just not at this location. Despite accepting walk-ins, I can never secure an appointment when needed. I’m charged extra due to the texture of my hair, even though my blowout can easily be completed within the standard service time by a stylist trained to work with diverse hair types. I was less than impressed with my experience at Drybar. The greeting when I arrived felt unwelcoming, and unfortunately the experience only declined from there. While washing my hair, the water was very cold, so I politely asked if it could be warmed up. Leslie responded by saying that if she made it too warm, it would burn her hands, which came across as dismissive rather than accommodating. During styling, she asked where I normally part my hair. This was my first time ever trying to book with The Blow Dry Bar in The Woodlands, and the experience was terrible before I even walked through the door. I was having trouble booking online, so I called for help. On the first call, the person barely paid attention and told me to call back in 10 minutes. I called back after 15 minutes just to give them extra time — no answer. Then they called me back but only let the phone ring twice before hanging up. We had an appointment scheduled but did not go through with it because of the host at the front desk. He was rude and condescending, and the interaction made us feel uncomfortable. Very disappointing and not what you expect from a place focused on customer service. Management should do a better job with hiring and training, as the behavior we experienced was unacceptable and reflects poorly on the business.
