Horrible first experience with this location. I had a 1:45 PM appointment for an important event at 4 PM and tried calling repeatedly for HOURS with absolutely no answer. We had initially tried to cancel my appointment the night before, but their booking system would have canceled all of my friends’ appointments too. I had a great experience here at Drybar! Danielle was my hairdresser and she gave me the best hair wash and blow out. I will definitely be coming back to see her! Overall great experience and very cute atmosphere.
I have been a Drybar/Barfly customer for over 5 years and have visited multiple locations, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I visited the Encinitas location for the 1st time in April 2026. My appointment took about 2 hours, and I ultimately left with my hair still wet. I was also charged an additional $30 extended-service fee which has never happened. The bigger issue has been what happened afterward. I was told my Barfly credit would be restored, but it never was. I love this place!!! I’ve been here multiple times and each time I’ve loved my style they are very kind and always make me feel welcomed even on the busy days they hear me and give me what I want every time with no expectation. If you are ever in the area stop by!!! You won’t regret it!
