bad service, small menu, and i was not impressed with the food at all
I’ve been coming to Drunken Monkey since they opened — born and raised in Truckee, and always supported local. Sadly, after today’s experience, I won’t be returning. The male server was rude and condescending. I ordered salmon belly sashimi and was brought nigiri instead — with a hair in it. When I pointed it out and asked for the correct item, he doubled down and told me I should’ve been more specific, even though sashimi and nigiri are clearly separate items on the menu. Great rolls and gyoza. Little pricy but that’s what you get in the mountains for fresh fish I suppose.
