I recently called for a prescription clarification and spoke with a pharmacy technician. I asked one question so I could better understand what pharmacy technicians are able to provide regarding controlled substances in the future. Instead of simply answering my question or transferring me to the pharmacist, she began educating me on why she could not provide the information and repeatedly emphasized that the medication was a controlled substance.
