Excellent lil dive bar with great shows and delish sandwiches!
I have a goal to drink a draft Guinness in every Irish pub in Virginia by the end of the year and I am halfway there. I stopped by Durty Nelly's on way home from Charlottesville to check it off my list. I ordered a Guinness. Before I could look up, the bartender popped the top on a can of Guinness draft and handed me a pint glass. I asked him if they had draft Guinness and he said no. I ordered a sandwich and was given something else instead. . On top of that, the sub was $21, which is far more than what I would’ve paid at Jersey Mike’s for exactly what I actually wanted. Pretty disappointing experience.
Great place - solid dive bar. I went to VA for Memorial Day weekend and stopped in here. We had two sandwiches, both were 10/10. Everyone seemed really friendly. I'll have to go back here again next time I'm in the area.
