We bought a car from DriveTime in Temple Texas close to 2 months now. I traded in are paid off car. This was the biggest mistake ever. We have permanent not temporary but permanent handicap license plates on our car in the state of Texas which in the state of Texas you can just take your tags off the old car put them on the new car and the dealership or whoever just transfers those tags to the new car we just bought. The male employee that works at the West Columbus location is obnoxious and should not be working with customer's over the phone, or in person. He is more suited for a job using a bucket and mop. I'm okay with taking my business elsewhere but, is this really a good business model?!
Absolutely do not buy cars from Drive Time. Me and my mother bought a 2018 Toyota Tundra back in 2024. The day I bought it I told them that I am in over the road truck driver and would be gone for 30 days after the day I purchased it. So the 5-day return window would not benefit me. I asked him if there was anything at all wrong with the vehicle. They proceeded to tell me that these vehicles are fully gone over by certified mechanics. The Company corp and employees know the website is a sells pitch with marketing and promoting to reserve vehicles for you to view in the mean time the vehicles are not never reserved. they are first come first served and was verified 11:22 pm with the caller I spoke to.
