My Husband and I booked a room in the main lodge. It was one of the smaller rooms and while it was small it was perfect! We only needed it for the one night so it being mall wasn't an issue. Having a private bath was the big selling point for us. The room was clean and well kept and the lobby was as well. The staff was amazing and its located next to a great breakfast spot!
We did not stay at the DRIFTWOOD INN, however we used them to set up a fly-out bear viewing trip. The weather in Alaska is unpredictable and often varies from the departure to the arrival location. They can't fix or change the weather, but they were excellent about communicating how it was affecting our travel plans. Due to the weather, they were able to get us out to view bears on our attempt. Super location. Great access to the beach. Room felt more like home than a hotel room. Great access to the beach. Staff was super accommodating to our needs.
Amazing view from our rocking chairs on the porch, clean and cozy, and very friendly staff. Homer was an all around epic adventure. The Driftwood Inn was the highlight!
