Dirty. Old. Tired. This is not a 4 star property. More like a nightmare Air BnB. We booked a two bedroom ‘Executive Apartment’ and it is dirty and gross. The floors are dirty, there are chips of paint missing, there are patched gyprock sections that are unpainted. That’s before we get to the decor that is daggy and dated. The reception and pre-arrival staff were friendly, professional and helpful, which was the only positive aspect of our experience. Unfortunately, the property itself was extremely disappointing. The hotel appeared dilapidated, poorly maintained and unclean. Our room contained dead insects in the cupboards, mould on the furniture, stained curtains, and an overall lack of cleanliness that made it unsuitable for us to stay. Drift was great. Location exceptional and plenty of shops and amenities nearby. Fiona at reception was the best welcome and service we have had a hotel. She was fantastic, caring and chatty every day we saw her and provided loads of great recommendations. Only slight downside was the pool is in shade a lot but in warmer months this may be helpful.

This was our second stay at Drift with my 2 adult children. We booked the same room type and to our disappointment this years room was nothing like previous. Last year ground floor 2 bedroom large spacious and private for sleeping and space. This year in building 4 level 3 a very small 1 bedroom with a “sleep out” room. The second room had 2 sliding glass doors with no curtains and the connecting wall to bed 1 was a bifold series of windows also no curtains.
