Awful department, they really don't care about patients at all, my husband has had iron injections delivered and was told to contact them so they can tell him how to use them, every time he calls it goes to straight to answer phone, despite leaving his details he has NEVER been called back, it's now been 2 weeks and he hasn't been able to use the injections, he has stage 4 kidney failure and he's anaemic, absolutely disgusting "support" from this department, no wonder the NHS is in the state it is!

Shocking lack of care . Nurses NEVER ask how you are. Lazy , lacking basic knowledge , happy to sit around on their phones all day,having a laugh at the station to be bothered about patient care. Often forget to give medication. Slack all round attitude from the majority.

I have nothing but praise for the nurses and hca’s involved with this unit . They are both attentive and informative offering great care in a difficult job In difficult times . Well done to all !!

Shocking lack of care . Nurses NEVER ask how you are. Lazy , lacking basic knowledge. Far too busy having a laugh at the station to be bothered about patient care. Often forget to give medication. Sandwiches are full of potassium phosphate and very high salt content ! Not ideal obviously.Senior nurse Dean is as just as bad … walks around singing whistling… and flirting with his “ harem”. Alarms going off and very slow response. However everything changes when consultant is about . Dangerous place to dialyse tbh.
