Update: The Command Hub touch screen on my PHD-200 dehumidifier eventually failed (see below). I contacted Legend Brands through their online chat. I thought for sure, I was going to reach a bot. Surprisingly, I reached a real person, and within one week (and minimal effort on my part), Legend Brands sent me a new Command Hub, fully set up and ready to install. Their dehumidifiers are trash. I bought a new one from my local distributor and it didn’t last 3 years before needing major repairs. My distributor traded me for another unit that failed the same way. After a third one, we’re done and I will never buy another one of their products again. Over $3000 out the window.
I recently bought a Dri-Eaz PHD 200 dehumidifier and had problems with the touch screen freezing when I tried to update the Firmware. I called tech support and got through immediately. Richard couldn't have been more understanding and helpful. He explained exactly what was happening (turns out there is a glitch in the new release, which they are currently working on rectifying.) Took my dehu to thier authorized repair center ( about an hour away from my home ) 1.5 years ago after owning for a half a year. Needed a new compressor. After 1.5 years of delays and excuses, I finally get the dehu back, and its got a defrost sensor error. I contact support and because the unit is no longer under warranty after all this time, I need to drive about 45 mins away to pay for the current repair. Not bothering after this mess - a waste of nearly 4k.
