I recently bought a Dri-Eaz PHD 200 dehumidifier and had problems with the touch screen freezing when I tried to update the Firmware. I called tech support and got through immediately. Richard couldn't have been more understanding and helpful. He explained exactly what was happening (turns out there is a glitch in the new release, which they are currently working on rectifying.) Took my dehu to thier authorized repair center ( about an hour away from my home ) 1.5 years ago after owning for a half a year. Needed a new compressor. After 1.5 years of delays and excuses, I finally get the dehu back, and its got a defrost sensor error. I contact support and because the unit is no longer under warranty after all this time, I need to drive about 45 mins away to pay for the current repair. Not bothering after this mess - a waste of nearly 4k.
Zero customer service. Sr Marketing representative is in need of additional training in sales. Requested information and sought assistance in deciding on which product best suited our needs. Reps acted as if it was too much trouble to sell their product. Interesting choice of employees handling customer service.
Owned a Dri-Eaz industrial dehumidifier that always errored out. After hours of troubleshooting over several weeks, with both the retailer and the manufacturer, turns out Legend Brands designed and shipped a unit with an insufficient pump, leading to an inevitable overflow and overflow error causing the dehumidifier to stop working. Their solution: buy an upgrade kit for around $150 and fix it yourself. Guess who is now the proud owner of a $1,500 industrial piece of junk? This guy.
Legend brands truckmount want to control a monopoly and won't let me be a distributor even though I am certified on all their equipment. They even gave distributor ship to another location north of me!
