gon now, or you might not get the chance – I was surprised to find that this restaurant was pretty empty despite the fact that other trendy eateries nearby were packed. The food was excellent and service was good(despite the fact hat our server couldn't open a bottle of wine). Food presentation was really upscale and they are large portions for reasonable prices. The atmosphere felt a little forced, but then that could be cause the house music was echoing off of empty walls. Not sure if I would return because the vibe felt a... read more
unsatisfied – this was the worst club I have ever been to. The music was not good and the people were stuckup and cliquey. No one danced so this is not a club you would like to go to if you want to dance or meet new people.
So five years ago – Cheesy music that is too loud, but the food is good. But the worst thing is the pour--an $8 rocks drink should be at least 1.5 ounces, Dragonfly manages to pour the lightest drink I have seen.
Dragonfly review – The food varies from dish to dish. The tofu appetizer was delicious. The duck entree was also tasty. The treasure of the sea entree was bland. The presentation is excellent for the price paid for the food. This restaurant is probably best known for its drinks and friendly staff and patrons.
A great, solid restaurant – In the genre of high end Chinese, Dragonfly is clearly above and beyond the competition. They take common favorites and turn them into wonderful gems. My favorites include Crispy Sesame Chicken and Beef Chow Fun. Their Chow Fun is the best in the city...no doubt. The noodles are perfectly fried: crispy on the outside, and soft and tender in the middle. I'm a regular for good reason.
Good Food – I went with a date on a Friday night. The dining room was closed, however, we were able to have a nice meal in the bar area. Get there at around 8:45 for a nice dinner before the club crowd moves in. The waitress was very friendly and the ambience was very nice for a date.
Superb Chinese!! – The food is simply wonderful. The menu is extensive, I'm sure you'll find something that you will love!
Best in town – The best chinese restaurant in town. In terms of food, service, and decor, this modern restaurant/ lounge hybrid can't be beat. The food is sophiscated yet subtle. The decor is dramatic but not cheesy. The service friendly but not snooty. The open air dining room puts it WAY over the top A must visit.
Very Impressive – From the food to the service, this restaurant doesn't miss a beat. Each dish that I have tried has been good. I've eaten here 4 times, and each time I have been satisfied. The seafood here is extremely fresh. I recommend the Hot & Spicy Scallops and the Honey Walnut Prawns. If you want to splurge a bit, try the Steamed Red Snapper. Nicely sized and very fresh, and the ginger sauce was perfect. And for the hip and trendy, the atmoshpere and the mood of the place will make you feel like you fit right in.
