A bit of construction work going on during our visit which curtailed some activity but overall a great visit. Ballarat is a wonderful place to visit and a visit to Sovereign Hill is like the cherry on top. Many of the staff were more than willing to chat about the gold rush times they were representing and the blacksmith displayed some great skills. Do take the introductory walk from near the entry. It puts a timely perspective on real hardship.
