My husband and I have been going to Dr. Mercadante for years. Mostly she’s thorough in the office. But once you leave there’s no hearing back from her. I needed test results and I emailed, message portal, phone calls. No one never called me back. When you call the office the staff is nasty with no compassion. I had pelvic pain and the doctor asked what I thought it was . It turned out to be stage 2 colon cancer. She also thought I was crazy. She never calls back with results. I even left 3 messages for her medical assistant - never called back. I actually had to go to the office to demand (I requested another doctor) to tell me my results immediately. Within 10 minutes I was told my results.
Dr Mercadente is a very caring thorough physician, but it is impossible to get through to her office. If you leave a voicemail they never return your call. I have never called and gotten through. Last time I went into the office to make an appointment since I was not able make it by phone.
I have been a patient for the last 14 years and I’ve never had a negative experience. She is excellent!!!!
