I am a cancer survivor. They removed my thyroid cancer 14 years ago. I choose Dr. Yasmin to be my endo. Unfortunately she prescribed a higher thyroid medication for 3 months. I lost my hair like crazy everyday. I almost lost 70% of my hair because of higher dosage. She did not realized from 100 to 125 everyday is not a good idea. As soon as I stopped and start to take 100 dosage.. my hair lost stopped. She should know better. I am extremely unhappy with her service.
Dr. Akunji appears to be very nice and concerning but she isn’t I’ve been having issues with my cgm for 6 months wifi he caused my A1c to go up enormously she wasn’t telling me accurate information in regards to my labs which has caused more health issues. So glad she is gone and the new provider Meagan is amazing! Made instant adjustments and gave me the advice and knowledge to get back on course. It’s a bit scary to know it’s providers who care less about your well being .
Dr Akunji is a phenomenal doctor. I’ve been with her for a few years now. The issue is not with her but with the office managers. Messages are not communicated to her in an effective timely manner. In addition, since the office can’t seem to get fully staffed medical issues slip through the cracks. It’s out of Dr. A’s control unfortunately that the managers are only out for money and not quality of patient care.
Best provider I have had-- always puts her patients before herself and ensures that she has the best information for every case. She listens and is caring and will choose her patients and best practices. She left a horrible office staff to ensure the best care for her patients and I am so thankful and excited to follow her to continue my care.
I was referred by my primary Dr in April to see Dr Akhinj. My very first appointment she was not there. Went for blood tests and Dr still not in office. I've been going for blood test and only speaking to the nurse practitioner on the phone. (Which I must say is very good) but it's since April I've been back several times, last time I asked when will I see the DOCTOR which they replied she is no longer here.
