WORST DOCTOR EVER!!!! Wouldn’t even see my mom after hearing about her diabetic foot ulcer & A1C at a 11.5! He would let anyone die! He needs his license TAKEN!!!!!!
Please seek help anywhere but with this “doctor”. I went to this clinic years ago on multiple occasions seeking help for my lower back pain and never asked them for anything but an answer. I was instead judged by Joseph Townsend who told me I was “too young” to be having these issues. When I explained that i sought help from a chiropractor, he told me that they are not real doctors. Has to be one of the worst primary care docs I have encountered. My wife was assigned to him after our last doctor left town. He won’t listen to anything and will just brush off any concerns as trivial. I would avoid going to him.
I was a good patient with Dr. William Yu for several years. I moved out of state due to my employment. When I returned to Springfield, IL, Dr. Yu's office dumped me because now I am considered a new patient and he does not accept new patients. The HSHS scheduler then booked an appointment with Dr. Winston Townsend for me because he "accepts" new patients. As it turned out, he doesn't. Instead of giving me a courtesy call, Dr. Townsend's office keeps cancelling my appointments. This is not good. Nobody cares. Please do better... read more
