I had an appointment scheduled for 11:45am for my aunt. We sat in the waiting room for and hour and 15 minutes. I went to the staff and asked how long and they told me that Dr. O'Connor is always running behind on his appointments. I said that if he is always running behind why do you schedule appointments so close to each other. No answer. In my opinion it's to get as many appointments set for the day to bill the insurance company. Maybe if he knows he always runs behind, maybe schedule appointments further apart. I've been to see dr. O'Connor 3 times now and have tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. I've had the first appointment in the am because I work but have been made to wait 1 hour and then 1.5 hours for the appointments. What I didn't appreciate, is that at the end of the appointment, he thanks me for being patient. However why do they schedule the appointments so tight if they know he's always behind? Dr. O'Connor is the best neurologist I've been to. I've seen at least 3 before him. I've been his patient for 8 years. Yes, there is a wait to see him. I much prefer this,as he is taking his time with his patients. Conversing,going thru what everything is and is not. Much preferred over a five minute visit like most Dr's. that don't even make eye contact with you, but are happy to charge your insurance with whatever they can get away with.
