Dr Elkington has been the best psychiatric doctor here in dothan. My visits are never rushed. He has made me feel comfortable and I enjoy going to see him. Much better than Dr shrunk that sees so many patients and doesn’t even know what’s going on with them.
The first visit I had with him he literally went to sleep during our conversation. I wasn’t sure if he was having a medical emergency but he did wake up. No medical emergency! so my confidence with him was on shaky grounds. He was not able to help me with my insomnia and actually refused to discuss any further. He did say he had a narcolepsy and sometimes he went to sleep. I think his professionalism needs to be improved and his own sleeping disorder to be resolved before taking on patients!!!
Wonderful psychiatrist. Very knowledgeable. He takes time to get to know his patients. You can tell he’s passionate about his job and he truly cares about his patients.
This is the third time I’ve come for an appointment and his office is closed. No note on the door nothing.
