Very good doctor with a sense of humor and great advice!
I have been seeing Dr. Shaver for 15 years. He resolved my severe gastro issues after my gall bladder removal. I get colonoscopies every 5 years due to a family history of stomach cancer. Dr. Shaver is a world class gastroenterologist. He is compassionate and patiently explains medical matters.
After my first visit I was hopeful because everyone was friendly and I felt listened to. Now, after two costly procedures and nothing more than a recommendation to cut gluten and add probiotics, I feel worse than ever. I’m in more pain now than ever before and have more stomach issues than I did at my first appointment. I will be following up with my PCP and asking for a different GI referral.
