I recently saw Dr Mathujan at the VRG for a complex issue, and I have to say, I have never met a better specialist. The care shown to me was exemplary, some complex topics were explained well, I was listened to, and I was shown great patience. But the icing on the cake was the detailed report back to my doctor and allied health team. When you have three separate doctors and two nurses remark on the quality of Dr Mathuja's report, and how thorough, helpful, and detailed it was, well, even a lay-person like me takes notice.
Saw me gosh 20 years ago or more. Was incredibly dismissive and focused on irrelevant stuff, like the fact I had acne on my face and scars on my arms (vibe was that I'd self harmed in the past, so it was probably all psychological). She was not warm or pleasant, and ended up giving a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, I felt just to get rid of me. No other thorough checks done.
