I absolutely love Dr Barksdale and his staff. Everyone is so friendly. Dr Barksdale isn't one of those Drs that just walks in and talks to you for just a min then walks out. He asks a lot of questions, gets your detailed history and sticks around in case you have any questions for him.
I am a registered nurse and have been seeing Dr.Barksdale since the early 1990's. I wouldn't go anywhere else even though I work in a hospital and have access to practitioners much closer and more convenient for me.
This was several years ago. I went to him for a long list of symptoms that had been going on for years. I was sure I had a glandular problem because many other things had been ruled out by other doctors. Dr. Barksdale told me my labs were "fine." (although I was refused the actual test results...just a brief written summary) When I asked for other test options, he basically called me a hypochondriac and told me to (quote) "stop reading women's magazines." This doctor is all about the money , he has absolutely No sympathy or compassion,the office staff are mean as snakes.He claims to play guitar.I hope he's better at that.He not what I would call a great doctor !
Best doctor I've ever had.He knows his stuff and I've never had to wait past my appointment time.
Just want to say that you will NEVER find a Family Practice Physician any better. He always listens to the patient and genuinely cares about them. My husband and I have been using him for over 10 years and have been more than satisfied.
Dr. Barksdale is the absolute best in his field. He is truly concerned about his patients well being and speaks to you like a person rather than just a patient taking up space in his appt book. I've been seeing him since my son was 6 months old and he's now 13. I've reccomended him to several friends and family members. He could teach these new physicians a thing or two about bed side manner and how to treat the ones who entrust their health to them.
