Stay away. Up-sells, does not care about patient. Gets angry if you ask questions. Bad surgeon. Dangerous man. Not interested in helping you, just interested in earning and his ego. . Should not be allowed to practice medicine. Destroyed my eyes and only defends himself. Never listens. Talks and acts very fast. Always trying to sell you things.
Last June I contacted Dr. Davidson for a second opinion as I was having blurry vision one month after cataract surgery done by another well-known Health Care Facility. Dr. Davidson examined my eyes thoroughly and scanned both my eyes. After his examination, I was informed that I was misdiagnosed by my surgeon. Once I provided Dr. Davidson’s 2nd opinion to my ophthalmology dept, they started giving me different eye drops to cure the retina eye issue I was having. Dr. Davidson seemed very rushed during consultation, and just like the review from Mistreated in Ojai above I felt he was trying to upsell me to a multifocal lens with laser. His flyer even wrongly stated that there would be no vision correction at all with scalpel surgery. The lens manufacturer told me a lens without correction doesn’t even exist. That dishonest brochure was part of his upsell effort. When I consulted Dr. Trotter he told me that I wasn't even a multifocal lens candidate, and quoted me $1800 instead of $3500... read more
Dr Hu has taken care of my mother's glaucoma over the past couple years and has performed a successful glaucoma laser on her. My mother now no longer has to use any more glaucoma drops! She is always thoughtful, kind, and patient, answering all our questions at each visit. She is always up to date with the latest medicines and surgical techniques. We are so thankful for her expertise!
I was introduced to surgeon Dr John Davidson by Dr Ashish Toor. It was resolved I needed cataract surgery and he would be the man. Dr Davidson has such a warm smile and high energy presence. Kinda of a ‘let’s get this thing taken care of’ attitude. I was grateful and felt very trusting. Dr. Davidson removed the cataract from my right eye some years ago. At the time, I told him my left eye had already had the surgery - and was nearsighted at my request. I made it clear that I wanted both eyes to work together. He was not listening, didn't care, tried unsuccessfully to upsell me to a multifocal lens. As a result of mismatched eyes, I have since lost my balance, fallen many times and broken many bones. His greed has affected my physical and emotional well-being for life.
Dr. Hu is fantastic. Great bed-side manner, incredibly thoughtful and cheerful. It is always comforting to know that some of the most precious parts of your body (the eyes!) are in good hands. She's quick, thorough and incredibly smart. She gets the job done WELL and makes you feel good!
Dr. Hu and staff were very responsive when I was having a lot of difficulty with my vision. Dr. Hu actually saved my life. Yes, it is true. The eye Dr. saved my life through professional and very efficient action in admitting me to Los Robles hospital with a serious brain/optic nerve problem previously undetected by other ophthalmologists but became critical. And, is now saving my vision. Dr. Hu is a total PRO.
