It was supposed to be an hour long surgery, but it ended up being over 4 hours long due to a significant amount of time having to be spent on my hernia repair before Dr. Naziri could access the area to perform the gastric bypass. Dr. Naziri stated there were so many openings in my abdominal hernia that it looked like Swiss cheese. Still he pressed on…undeterred to successfully complete both surgeries (abdominal hernia repair AND gastric bypass) in the same operation. He is thorough. I had my gallbladder removed by Dr. Naziri. He explained everything and answered all my questions before I even asked them. I can not even tell where Dr. Naziri did the incisions. He is that good. I had zero complications afterwards. I would not want anyone else to operate on my family members but Dr. Naziri if they needed this surgery.
I had surgery on 7-14-2020. The overall experience was amazing. Dr. Naizri is very knowledgeable and personable. He makes decisions with u not for u. He has a great bed side manner. He puts the patient 1st. I felt like a person not just a case.

I am one week postop and could not be happier with my results. Other than a little pain muscle spasms and some gas everything is going as expected, due to the excellent education and training I had from doctor Naziri and his team. Thanks Doc. Phillip.
He is wonderful. He is so personable.
I loved my surgeon, but the office is annoying to deal with. There are many other surgeons in the area who will be more accommodating. Southern Surgical makes you feel like you can't get the same level of service anywhere else. They send you to an internal group of specialists who regularly ping your insurance for rates that are often ABOVE the allowed amount that my insurance will pay... and I have really good insurance. It seems like a fat farm where the doctors involved in the referral
