It's 2026 and it's been a year since my mom's surgery. I never knew what my mom's outcome would be after months of fighting to get the care she needed at UMC Texas Tech in El Paso. We ultimately made a decision to rush her to University of New Mexico for emergency surgery. Dr Rai and his team (Bridget, Dr. Keller, plus many more) gave my 74 yr old mom a second chance.
