My objective on this visit was to find an alternative primary care provider perhaps. Dr. Jakel is retiring and the new doctor in this facility is treating me like so much cattle. The focus seems to be on expediting as many people as possible and as short period of time as you can take. my opinion is that that does not approach what I would care for patience or for humans in general. Dr. Jakel is the most caring family physician in the entire upper penninsula.
Dr. Jakel is a very caring person and the connection is extremely important for both her as my doctor and me as her patient. She always makes whatever is being talked about very easy to understand. I've never felt so comfortable discussing any issues I have ever had with her because she actually takes time with her patients and gets to know them on a personal basis, not just treat them for a checkup and send them on their way. Thank you Dr. J for being so amazing!
Dr. J is awesome! She really listens to me and keeps me healthy.
