Dr. Chiu is a wonderful caring dermatologist, but what I would like to comment on is the fact that every time I have had an appointment I was not kept waiting like at most doctors offices.I arrived on time and was checked in and the only waited a few minutes to be taken to the exam room. Again I only waited a few minutes before Dr. Chiu came in to see me. I wish all docters were this respectful of their patient's time.

She’s been my dermatologist for almost 4 years, she’s a very professional doctor and knowledgeable about her profession

As other reviewers noted Dr. Chiu is friendly but does not conduct adequate skin screenings. I have a history of pre-Melanomas and when I saw her for the first and only time, she spent 60 seconds looking at my skin. I’ve never had a dermatologist not use a magnifier and take less than 15 minutes closely looking at my skin. I have many moles and spots as well. I feel like I now need another screening with a dermatologist.

Pleasant but seems pre-occupied with moving on to the next patient. I’ve seen her about six times over the years. She has limited listening skills and barely looks at my skin. (Not surprised another reviewer mentioned that she missed a melanoma. I’m concerned that she may have missed that on my face so I’m finding another doctor.) I kept hoping she would change.. as she is likable but.. I have lost confidence in her. She charges a lot of money for the eight minutes she spends with a patient. I will add that she is usually on... read more

While pleasant, she was fast, and I felt superficial

I left Dr. Chiu because I felt as if she was in a rush. I found another dermatologist who did a biopsy on a dark area under my right eye that Dr. Chiu had previously said 'nothing to could be done about'. Well, I learned today that that dark area is now a melanoma and will require surgery.

I am very happy with Dr. Chiu. She knows her stuff, inspires confidence and gets the job done quickly and with minimal fuss.

She missed a melanoma. Fortunately it was caught early enough but I would not recommend her for screening for melanoma.

Spends no time listening to thoughts and concerns. All appointments have been comprised of her in the room for less than 5 minutes.
