I saw Dr. Gennaro at Day Kimball in Putnam for a torn meniscus. He was wonderful and explained everything that was going on with my knee and the fact that I also have lots of arthritis. He had suggested a cortisone shot first to see how that would be. Well let me tell you, it was immediate relief! I like the fact that he did not push the surgery on me and wants to see how this helps. I would highly recommend Dr. Gennaro.
The best doctor. He is a US. ARMY Veteran and save my leg from being amputated. I have not see him in many years never forgot his name a his dedication for his Country serving in the military and in Combat. While in the hospital an emergency happened to me that I was going on shock and Dr. Gennaro left his family outing and drove 2 1/2 hrs to take care of me. He did not leave until I was stabled. Great human being and great doctor. Forever grateful that you took care of me. God Bless you and your family. 1sg Vicente Munoz.
Dr. Gennaro is a great surgeon. My procedure went perfectly and my recovery was quicker than average.
He saved my life i would not have lasted long in the amount of pain I was in.I had back surgery, the healing was hard , but I am fixed!
Don't see this guy for anything! Guy is a complete quack and probably forged his degree for all I know. I went to see Dr. Gennaro for what should have been a very simple meniscus arthroscopic surgery on my right knee. Instead of making only two incisions on my knee, Dr. Gennaro instead made three incisions in my knee and in the process of making the third incision he clipped a blood vessel which resulted in a mostly botched surgery. Knee was very swollen and have still yet to regain full flexion
Dr. Gennaro is great if you have an obvious surgical case. He's pretty straight forward, but as with many surgeon's, he's also rather arrogant and condescending to patients at times. But he's fantastic in the OR, did a carpal tunnel repair and incised a ganglion cyst from opposite sides of my wrist in 1 procedure easily. I had very little pain during recovery and haven't had a problem with it since.
Go see Dr. Gennaro if you like a Dr. that 'knows it all.' Listen to the patient? Na. Review the charts? Na. Tell them there's nothing that can be done but come back and see him in a month anyway so he waste more of your time? He's your man!
