I went to the ER 09/22/20 for a severely swollen throat. I couldn't swallow or hardly breathe. Nurses that was working for Dr. Farooq did not handle my illness serious. I had BP of 187/115 was one young lady said that I need to let Dr. Farooq know of her BP another nurse stated don't waist your time he's not going to do anything, as if I didn't hear her entire conversation outside my door. I hope to never encounter this physician again. I was in a car accident and sent to the hospital from Baptist Minor Med, due to a head injury. Dr. Farooq had terrible bedside manner, didn't address the wound on my head and told me that he was sending me for a CT scan and x-rays. I waited less than an hour for my x-rays and several hours for the doctor to return. When he did, he told me my CT and x-ray results came back clear and he was discharging me. I took my wifew to Baptist East ER because she had a seizure. Dr Farooq was her doctor. He had no bed side manner and seemed unconcerned that the seizure was a big deal. My wife had asked for something for nausea but was ignored. He ordered blood work, and told us he would be back with results After 1 hr a different nurse came in and said results were fine.
