I had a laparoscopic hernia repair performed by Dr. LaMar a few weeks ago and I had a great experience from the initial consultation all the way through to the post-surgery check-in. Called to receive quote for a lipoma removal. I explained I was self-pay and referred to them by my primary. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!. Front desk lady who answered the phone immediately asked for my authorization number. I responded wouldn't it be nice to know my name first. They tried to charge me $150 for a consultation. There is not consultation. I need a price quote. Amazing how in the medical field the hubris these doctor offices live by. The greed and self-interest. Dr. Lamar and his team are awesome!! Since day one, I've never had an issue. Recovery was perfect. I had pain the first 3 days and after that I was great. It's been 4 months since my surgery, and I feel great.
