Excellent experience. Very patient oriented. Extremely mindful and accommodating of out of state patients. Bent over backwards to schedule needed procedures in a very timely fashion.

Here is as brief of a review I can give for a year-long nightmare at Mayo with only BIG things: 1. Referred to Mayo Colorectal Surgery Dept. in 5/22. Met with Dr. Young-Fadok (Dr Y-K) who orders an attempt at a balloon endoscopy/colonoscopy. Results were a narrowing at the ileocolonic anastomosis, unable to be scoped much less ballooned, and a distention further north due to repeated blockages. If you have colorectal cancer, look no further. Dr Young-Fadok no doubt saved a family member's life with stage 3 cancer. He's been cancer free for almost a decade & even though every other surgeon said he would have a colostomy bag for life, Dr Young-Fadok said she could reverse it, and after 6 months, she did. We have so much gratitude for her caring bedside manner, immense wisdom & undeniable skill.
Dr. Young-Fadok performed my colectomy with J-pouch surgery, and she and the staff did a great job, including supporting me through some complications I experienced. The Mayo clinic team was very attentive and top notch professionals.
