I went for a colonoscopy & 2 days before procedure I had a text for estimated patient responsibility of $496.17. I called Humana Gold & was told I only had a $45 copay. I called back to Dr office & was advised diagnostic is $496.17. The screening is $45. I called my primary Dr & was advised to call Dr office back. I was then told by the Dr office it had to be diagnostic. I said no could I talk to Dr myself. She asked me & I said I had to cancel at $496. Dr. Matheus saved my life after a life threatening peptic ulcer that had me throwing up blood clots from both ends with serious internal bleeding . I left my other doctor who failed me and followed her to her practice.I no longer have pain, I no longer vomit daily, I actually can eat and enjoy food now. I strongly caution anyone considering treatment with Dr. Matheus. Writing this isn’t easy, but after my experience, I feel obligated to share it so others can make an informed decision. I am an out-of-state patient from Texas and do not have medical insurance. In May, I traveled to Florida solely for a surgical procedure to address external hemorrhoids.
