I have gone to Doctor Sacks for many years and I wouldn’t go to anyone else.
Dr. Todd Sacks leaves a lot left to be desired for bedside manner. I found him crude at best. I ended up not utilizing him for my surgery after being left uncomfortable after two visits. He may be a great surgeon (I don’t know) but his demeanor left me seeking out multiple other surgeons, one of whom I’m going with. Additionally, he and his staff on multiple occasions confused me with other patients (called me another name, didn’t know my history, thought I had a previous surgery that I didn’t…). Horrible. He did not listen to anything I said. I need my right hip replaced. He told me my BMI was to high and he would not operate on me. His explanation made it sound more like he is not skilled enough to do an operation on me. He says hip surgery is an elective operation. My pain says different. His solution was ending to a doctor that does surgical weight loss. That is definitely an elective operation. I know I am over weight and would like to lose weight. Great surgeon. Explained the procedure and kept me informed of every aspect of what he was going to do and what I needed to do to make the best recovery from hip replacement.
I was there with my father in law and found Dr Sacks very dismissive, talked above his understanding and told us that Covid was present all leading to he couldn’t really do anything to help him. His bedside manner was awful... I would not recommend if you are looking for compassion..
I absolutely LOVE Dr. Sacks and his team. They took my beat-up shoulder and put it back together, and now it's the best part of my body! He treated me with respect and kindness and excellent to explain what was going on. I had heard horror stories about rotator cuff surgery and the terrible recovery...well, they put my rotator cuff back together, along with the biceps tendon. I started PT three days after surgery. It was sore, but never hurt as much after the surgery as it did before. I kept waiting for the "bad part"...and ... read more

I was crippled in both knees. I had all the shots I could, and so the next step was Total Knee Replacement. I was scared, but had no choice. Dr. Sacks, and asst. Ernest, were great! Had a lot of questions regarding my fears, but they calmed my fears. I had the surgeries, first knee, in Sept 2017, then the other in Feb. 2018. Dr. Sacks did a great job! I have straight knees now with no pain, Had to do rehab after, but I did all he said to do, wasn't easy, but it worked.

Love Dr Sacks. We trust him completely. He shares decision making with us. He never forcing anything on you. He has replaced both of my knees and my husbands hip! He definitely the best joint replacement surgeon in the Cobb Paulding Douglas area. His staff is so kind and helpful.
