I would and have recommended Dr. Steege not only to my family but to several friends. I had three surgeries performed by him and each one was great. The outcome was far more than I expected, not needing any pain meds what so ever. Dr. Steege was very professional and has a great bed side manner and truly cares for his patients.

I went into surgery yesterday (November 10, 2016) for the removal of a fairly large synovial cyst on my lower spine. Dr. Steege and the surgical team at Swedish Medical Center were outstanding. The medical procedure went as planned and I came home the same day with very little pain. I never considered taking any pain medication once I return home, because I was in more pain before I had the surgery. Dr. Steege was very professional, addressing any of my concerns before and after the procedure.

Dr. Steege and his PA, Mr. Gupta were both very courteous and helpful. But hey disputed the radiologist's reading of my MRI. Dr. Steege indicated he believed the radiologist saw things that weren't there and indicated he's had this issue with other MRIs she's read. While I appreciate a doctor not wanting to jump into surgery if it isn't indicated, I prior MRI reports from '11 & '13 that saw the same things on the MRI the Harrison radiologist indicated she saw. I am left very confused.

Beating around the bush ignoring the issues of the patient that their facing. Instead of reviewing the current mri, he was reviewing an old mri stating there's nothing wrong. But yet he notes the weakness.
