Dr. Fitzsimmons performed an emergency appendectomy for our daughter. He did an outstanding job of communicating with us before and after the surgery. Most importantly, our daughter received excellent care.
Dr. Fitzsimmons is one of the most amazing doctors out there. He truly listens to his patients and truly does care. That is a rarity now a days. You can tell that he truly does care and it's not just a paycheck to him. He explains everything and he doesn't make you feel anything but confident.
Dr. Fitzsimmons is a great surgeon and a great human being. I went to the emergency room with terrible pain in my abdomen in Sept. of 2016 and Dr. Fitzsimmons saved my life. He removed approx. 1 ft. of my large intestine due to a blood clot that had caused gangrene to set in. My sister had a friend in Knoxville, TN that had the same thing. The doctors there didn't take him to surgery immediately like Dr. Fitzsimmons did me and her friend died on the operating table 14 days later with gangrene.
Dr. Fitzsimmons is a phenomenal surgeon. I had a chronic, acute hemorhagic gall bladder. A very bizarre case but had I not had the best doctor in the field, I could have ended up with a lifelong debilitating issue. Extremely caring doctor, and informed me every step of the way. Never, ever condescending. Wonderful bedside manner.
