Great Doctor , patient ,kind and caring and front desk Beonca excellent service
Have been a patient of Dr Shook for over 8 years. He is professional, takes time to explain and answer questions. Willing to consider patient input on options. Trust his advice. On the negative side, tough to get appointments, long waits and follow up on test results from his support staff is poor (3 weeks or longer not unusual). Have to persistent in following up to get the info (in one case, told to call mri provider myself when nurse claimed she never received report after 4 weeks. Provider confirmed to me the report was ... read more
Pre-turn of the century physician and practice. Very difficult to schedule an appointment. My biopsy was performed 1.5 hours AFTER it was scheduled. The MD never called my partner afterward. Results were withheld for over 2 weeks, despite repeated requests. The portal is useless; neither the staff not the MD seem to know how to use it.
Dr. Shook is a wonderful physician! His staff leaves a little to be desired. Husband received a call that his cancer has spread to lymph nodes. Had an existing appt for 11 days in the future. Asked to see the Dr. sooner to answer questions on prognosis. Nurse said, "Its not like your die..." then stopped. Said he couldn't get any worse between the 2nd of July and the 13 of July. When diagnosed with Cancer and not able to ask the doctor questions for almost two weeks leaves the family in a terrible spot! What kind of person/n... read more
Takes the time to explain and answer questions. Willing to consider input and "negotiate" options. Would definitely recommend. The office environment, on the other hand, is very crowded, not very inviting and feels like an assembly line. Staff is ok but the conditions are not inviting.
Dr. Shook was very courteous, his bed side manners are great. He immediately made me feel comfortable and explained my condition in laymen terms. I would definitely recommend him to family and friends. Looking forward to having him on my medical team. Kudo's Dr. Shook.
Dr. Shook has helped Me through several bouts of kidney stones-both passing and removal of them. As i transitioned feom the first experience through multiple experiences over 10 years, he hecked their changing composition and came up with a successful plan to keep them from coming back’
I WOULD DEFINATLEY REFER THIS DR. TO ANYONE IN NEED OF HIS SERVICES. DR. SHOOK DOES NOT TREAT YOU LIKE JUST ANOTHER PATIENT, HE IS VERY KIND AND CONSIDERATE TO ALL OF HIS PATIENTS AND YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE GETTING THE BEST OF CARE FROM THIS GUY. THANK YOU SOOO VERY MUCH FOR ALL THAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR MY CANCER.
Very conscientious, great bedside manner, explains things well and answers all questions, very thorough, treated me several times for kidney stones. Also found reason why I was getting them repeatedly, and now that I have correct tx, I don't get them at all! Love his nurse Julie
