I met Dr. Barber at the BOPC outpatient clinic in January 2026. He let me know right away that I was young to have total knee replacement done at 44 years old, but seen on the x-ray that it was needed. He shared his concern with me and was honest about the life span of the implant. He did not rush me into surgery but allowed me to elect what time of the year to get my surgery done and allowed me to call in later to schedule said appointment. I had the surgery done at the Mt. In a rush, and could not be bothered to review my records carefully. He asked if I had an x-ray once I had traveled 80 miles to see him, and I didn’t have that with me (just MRI) and he said oh never mind it’s probably not useful. He could have had x-rays taken on site. Big waste of time very big disappointment. He just told me to take a bunch of anti-inflammatories for at least five days in a row. Duh.
