My first consultation appointment was thorough, and the colonoscopy was scheduled so I could have it done before year end as I had hoped. The surgery center was beautiful, clean, and the friendly staff explained every step of my visit. I have taken two people for their colonoscopies where theirs were like a crowded assembly line. New Patient Visit: Dr. Kumar ordered a procedure which was preformed a few days later. He found and diagnosed several problems and prescribed medication that is helping! Within One Week of initial visit I have answers and treatment! The BEST EVER CARE! Thanks Dr. Kumar!
He was like talking to a cement block!!!
The staff and facilities are fine, the problem is doctor Kumar. Everytime I see him I get asked "are you the chrohns patient?". Then he proceeds to tell me I need to go on humira which he already put me on months ago. Then without fail, I'm asked who put me on Humira. He seems lost ever extremely brief appointment we have. I'm having a reaction to the Humira and he has done nothing about it. It has become so bad I decided to switch doctors. Again his staff is wonderful and friendly.
Dr. Kumar, in my opinion, is an excellent doctor. Can’t imagine why anyone would rate him below five.
Dr. T Kumar is a poor/unethical physician. Displays incompetency in communicating his patient’s diagnosis, prognosis or possible complications with them. Gastroparesis found in endoscopy Nov 2016, he never told me. His ARNP did months later . Endoscopy/colonoscopy Feb 2018. He walked by me in waiting room after procedures saying I had a very long colon. Polyp removed + complications I learned from a print out. Biopsy: positive for C Difficile. Staff: never informed me I had this deadly disease.
Great doctor forcommon GI issues, however, I was in the hospital for lower left abdom pain and Kumar was on call and he’s my GI doc. He saw me one time and didn’t give any of the consulting docs any plan other than a CT scan which was inconclusive. On Monday the hospitalist called him for direction and he told her to call the on call GI doc. Even though he is my Doc!!! He has basically wiped his hands with me so now I’m off to Moffitt. Done with Ocala area GI docs. Pathetic!
This is the most elusive doctor I've ever encountered. He has never, ever even touched me, much less examined me. All he does in my presence is ask a few questions and type on his computer.
I have had a chronic autoimmune disease affecting my liver for 14 years, and after a series of doctors in another part of the country, I found Dr. T. Kumar here in Ocala. He is by far the most knowledgeable and caring of all of my GI physicians. I literally do trust him with my life.
