I had a great experience at this office. The office staff are friendly and professional. Dr. Cherwin did my hip surgery a year ago and it was the best thing I did for myself. I was up and moving that day. Within two weeks I was using a cane and moving around well. I felt Dr. Cherwin was professional and very knowledgeable. I would definitely go back to him for any other orthopedic needs.
Very rude. Had to go see him after knee surgery for a problem. Proceeded to lecture me about thin people and how they can get around easier and they are nimble when walking. He asked to see me walk and told me, you have a big gut. Lose weight and you will feel better. I have come to the conclusion that he just doesn't like heavy people. I am a female and that was very degrading.
DO NOT I repeat DO NOT let Dr Cherwin do surgery on you. After 3 hip surgeries, I couldn't walk, extreme pain. First surgery, my legs were not even. Second surgery was to replace & put in a smaller ball joint, my hip dislocated twice. Third surgery, to replace the hip an start over. Extreme pain, couldn't walk. Went to a surgeon out of town, the following information was provided "The hip alignment was poor, hip was attached to muscle or if attached to bone, the hip drastically moved both bone and muscle severely deteriorate... read more
All staff and Dr. Were very friendly and professional, I felt I was in good hands, knee scope went early well.
I had my knee scoped by Dr. Cherwin. Have had several surgeries over the past 10 years, never had any post surgical infections. Ended up with cellulitis which he misdiagnosed as "heat rash". Took two courses of antibiotics to clear up. No apology for the misdiagnoses but he had no problem charging me for 5 extra follow up appointments to get rid of infection.
I can't say enough about Dr Cherwin. Not only does he have a wonderful bedside manner, but he is also excellent at what he does. He tells you exactly what the problem is and how to correct the issue. He always makes sure he has answered all of your questions, before he leaves. He always makes time for his patients. I have never felt rushed when in his office. His office staff couldn't be nicer. Many thanks to Dr Cherwin and his staff.
Dr...Cherwin is a very personable doctor....great bedside manner. Very easygoing and tells u like it is...Dr. replaced my right knee on 2013 and today you would never know it...I now need my left knee done and would not go to anyone else...I feel very secure under his care....very good staff...compassionate and knowledgeable.....thumbs up Doc!!!
He used an unfavorable technique for my acl, miss-aligned tunnel in my femur, failed to tighten down tibial screw, followed up with subpar post op care including no PT for nearly 2 months after.
