dr Mir can’t read blood results, does not follow up on routine blood tests, And will not be able to refer you when you have cancer. She has no understanding of blood work and you may go without the needed tests. I have no idea how she passed the licensing exams. She is the worst doctor I’ve ever seen. Run and get a doctor who knows how to read the lab work. It is no joke, your life may depend on it.
Going to a doctor is stressful enough, but Prosperity Internal Medicine somehow made is worse. The practice is so poorly run and the folks are incredibly rude. I went it and the doctor ordered some bloodwork. First, no one sent that bloodwork to the lab and the lab technician snapped at me when I went and waited outside her office. Then after some running around, someone found the tests that were ordered. Blood was drawn. I left. And then I waited.... two weeks passed, no results. I had bloodwork drawn last week and scheduled an appointment for interpretation of the test results to occur today. Unfortunately, I was greeted by a very hostile office manager who told me that the doctor was behind by 2 patients and that I had no other choice but to wait. I explained that I have very limited time and could not wait and that I would just like to have the doctor give me a call after her other patient visits. I am very disappointed in today’s visit, i drove over 45 mins to Reston to see Dr.Mir, ( I’ve been a patient for over 10 years!) I arrived about 5 mins late to my appointment (first time ever being late to her) and was told i will now have To wait an hour or 2 to be seen. I told The receptionist that i was Ok with that since i knew I was few mins late and have been waiting a few weeks to get an appointment. Prosperity Internal Medicine is the worst family practice I've ever been to. It's a shame because doctors Mir and Zahir are fantastic; their practice itself couldn't care less about their patients' needs. Here are a few of the problems we've had: 1. A member of my family has a chronic condition w/ medication that does not change. The practice nickel-and-dimes us by requiring in-person appointments and bloodwork each renewal for medication. 2. Dr. Mir has been my primary care physician for over ten years. Warm and caring, she is a doctor who believes that it is important to know her patients as individuals. I have never waited for more than a few minutes for my appointment time, yet she spends plenty of time and never rushes.
