Dr Susan/Dorsey Rickard has been my husband’s and my physician since our move from Illinois 12 years ago. She has always, always sat down to talk to me about what ails me both physically and/or mentally. Her staff and her PA are kind and as thorough as she, and my calls have been returned in a timely manner. My husband and I consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have her as our physician.

I had gone to Dr. Rickard for a couple of years. She seemed very attentive and caring, but too conservative for my medical needs. There were tests and screenings she wouldn’t do because at 63 she said I had aged out of them. I do not agree. I think at 63 I was still young enough to get the and TREAT the cancers for which she would not screen. I am financially able to pay for any tests that insurance would not and advised her of that ! This office will give you the runaround. There is a lack of communication and accountability. They have rescheduled appointments twice in the same day and Dr. Rickard/Dorsey/Thorley (each of these has been her last name at some point) was over an hour behind on the second appointment. All of this while understanding the urgency due to an outpatient procedure immediately following. Dr. Rickard takes having a primary care physician to such a higher level. Her concern for my health was noticed immediately. She is who you need to see if you want the best of Brentwood.
