Personable Dr. but ultimately, I feel she is lacking as a surgeon. Had to have her work redone, which cost double. After that experience, with a doctor trained in different techniques, I concluded her skills could use refreshing. Also Leaves too much follow up to her staff, which results in confusing and inconsistent instructions - which affected results. I felt she didn’t care about me after surgery. (My revision doctor contacts me personally every 2-3 months). Would never let her touch me again and won’t recommend her.

Dr Buenaventura is amazing. I had a breast reduction last year. I had no pain , the office staff both pre and post surgery were amazing!!!!!! She is the most impressive physician I have ever met! I adore her and I love love love the outcome of my surgery. Dianna Dresser-Heckman

Tried to go for a consultation (which was going to cost $125). Unfriendly woman at the window said I had to let them copy my ID. The first rule of protection against identity theft is never let anyone copy your ID - she said it had to be done. NOT true. If I came back they could see it each time if they needed to. Then demanded I fill out 10 pages of inapplicable forms (not including health history) before I could see the doctor. Lousy customer service and attitude. I left.

My mother recently underwent earlobe reconstruction surgery as one of her earlobes was fully torn. The end product turned out to be even better than expected! There was absolutely no scarring, and her earlobe looked like it had never been operated on. Dr. Buenaventura also re-pierced my mother's ears successfully, really exceeding our expectations. She is very kind and attentive to each of her patients needs, as well as her staff. We highly recommend Dr. Buenaventura and her practice!

I had explant with breast lift surgery by Dr. Buenaventura about 12 months ago and her skills are second to none. Did not encounter a single problem after the surgery and you can't see the scars. They had now turned the color of my skin and I feel like a million bucks! She is a gifted plastic surgeon and I thank my lucky stars I found her. I am not going back to her for a Tummy Tuck and Liposuction of the hips. I'm more than comfortable returning to her for additional surgeries.

I went to Dr Buenaventura for a breast reduction. She and the ladies who worked at her office always had a calming and caring attitude. My surgery went as close to perfect as anything done by humans can be. I don't know if Dr Buenaventura or the hospital (Alexandria INOVA Hospital) did this on purpose, but the nurse who prepped me for surgery had also had a breast reduction. Talking to someone who had been through the surgery and who could tell me what it was like in first person was a big help.

Mom of Two After consulting six plastic surgeons (Dr. Buenaventura being the third), I was pretty much convinced that she was the one! Her bedside manners, the time she and her assistant spent with me, her logic explanations, the office cleanliness and environment, etc., made me feel that I was in the right place. The surgery went wonderfully and the hospital stay at Alexandria INOVA was really wonderful, too! Dr. B is not only a gifted physician, but a caring person who is concerned with a patients overall health first. My earlobe repair went so smoothly, I hardly knew anything was done at all. I cant wait to go back for the lipo this fall. I feel completely at ease in her care.
