Being a retired director nursing I am at appalled at this facility. Good luck getting anybody to answer the phone. It is frustrating at best. I have literally called, gone into the kitchen to heat a cup of coffee, come back, waited some more and then got hung up on. This happens at least three times a day when I try to get through. If you don’t like this job then leave. Find a position at MedSurg or surgery. Or just get out of nursing altogether. I don’t know why mental health facilities have to be so dreadful. My Mom had the great fortune to have Dr. Susan E. Saxe randomly assigned to her in the emergency room at Delray. She quickly and confidently diagnosed Mom (soon to be 81), prescribed a course of treatment and put her and my family at relative ease with a smile. I'm happy to say that Mom is almost done with treatment, well on her way to a full recovery.
