I wish there had been more information/patient reviews available to me prior to my meeting with this therapist, thus the purpose of my review. If you have a history of abuse or trauma, I would recommend thinking twice before contacting Dr. Budney. From my experience, initially she came off as caring/empathetic/sincere, but I felt red flags that no one is really that sincere- it was too extreme, that it felt inauthentic. I have been getting help from Dr. Budney for 17 years for extremely difficult experiences that I have gone through. I think she is perfectly suited for people who have had trauma and abuse. She is caring, kind, compassionate, insightful and knowledgeable. I feel very safe with her. She has helped me in so many ways and my life is so much better because of her.
