This guy is a moron! I mentioned that he used to see my wife who had passed away and he started making allegations toward me that I know he had heard from her! But don't worry I'm sure your information will be kept confidentual! He needs a good slap in the face!

He'Triple books' but spends next to no time at all with his patients, he's rather condescending I've often compared him to a modern Sigmund Freud as he indiscriminately prescribed neuroleptics and atypical antipsychotics even when they're not necessary, he will blatantly ignore any adverse reactions, I personally gained over 75 pounds in less than 3 months which he found no problem with apparently, he often comes across as incompetent and rather arrogant and cocky.booking an appointment with this man is nearly impossible.For... read more

I may be the exception to the norm because I work for the group who manages the payments for most of his patients. I do have to take a full day off to go to the doctor because of the wait times. Staff is ok toward me but that may be because of my work. He is knowledgeable but he did not know of one study but it was a recent study so he has a pass on that one, regarding my meds and gastric bypass surgery. The meds he has me on are a mix of old and new meds for my condition but can also be cumbersome due to the number. I shoul... read more

This guy is rude. He treats me like crap and always thinks I argue with him and never wants to talk about anything at all. It is best to just agree with him and get your prescription and go on your way. The smoke break kills me. I hate how he tries to push counseling on me because he wants me to see the girl in his office so they can make more money. He doesn't realize that I have a job and that it is hard for me to come here more that I already do. I have a professional career and I earn around $120K a year. I am taking Sub... read more

Horrible experiences!Went to the Gastonia office a few years ago and was put on 12 diff meds! They were for bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression and who knows what else!At every appt he wanted to discuss my sex life and it make me very uncomfortable.Eventually I had enough and changed doctors. My new doctor took me off of everything except for 2 meds and I've been great ever since!Recently I tried to get a copy of my medical records(which I have a legal right to have)and the staff was horrible! I called them and they said I cou... read more

I put one down because 0 wasn’t an option. His office in Lincolnton has a very small 8X8 waiting room with plastic lawn chairs. It’s very cramped and i remember sitting in those seats for HOURS. I think 4 hours was the longest me and my mother waited. I was a patient of Patel throughout 2007 and honestly I’m still recovering from the medications he prescribed. I remember one day there was a woman who had, after several hours of waiting, a complete anxiety attack in the room. I myself was on so many medications that when i fi... read more

The Doctor & Staff are extremely rude and could care less about the patients they are suppose to be helping. The don't keep appointments, it's basically on a first come first serve basis. The Doctor is ALWAYS late! He tried prescribing me dangerous medications that I didn't need. I went to the doctor for ADHD and he determined I has schizophrenia and Bi-Polar disorder. I'm typing this review in his waiting room- I had an appointment at 8:15, it's 8:50. Ridiculous! I'm definitely looking for a new doctor. Also, I should menti... read more

He is rude, uncooperative, overcharges, ALWAYS late, prescribes dangerous meds when not needed, won’t consider treatment options other than meds with harmful side effects & hates to be questioned about his choices. Did my own research---he had a fit. I ask why he so badly wanted me on one of those meds & why it was so important & he actually couldn’t answer that question! He doesn’t listen & doesn’t care. FYI: he doesn’t believe in adult ADHD/ADD if your either of those he’ll label you bi-polar because he’s too stupid to kno... read more
